Get ready for Halloween checklist

Two weeks until Halloween! Time to get ready for the spookiest night of the year (even if it is happening during the pandemic). With just a few items from yoru collection or the dollar store, you can get into the spirit. Here’s a checklist:

  • Round up your Halloween books or check some out from your local library.
  • Address and mail Halloween cards.
  • Decorate your front door with a Halloween-themed wreath, plaque or other decoration.
  • Plan the your Halloween costumes.
  • Add some Halloweeen decorating touches around the house — maybe a few lights or artificial pumpkins? Or Halloween placemats or table cloth?
  • Buy some Halloween candy (if you can resist it!)
  • If you have kids, pick up some Halloween craft activities. You can also download Halloween-themed learning activities and STEM projects at TeachersPayTeachers.com.
  • Put pumpkin hand soap in the bathrooms.
  • Order groceries — apples, canned pumpkin, popcorn, cupcake liners, sprinkles, etc.
  • Make your Halloween plans. Will you make a special breakfast or dinner? Watch a movie? Trick or treat with the kids? (with social distancing).
