Autumn Sangria Mocktail

If you love the taste of sangria but want to avoid alcohol, here is an alcohol-free version that tastes like fall. This recipe appeared in Woman’s World last October.


  • 1 orange sliced
  • 1 apple, cut into wedges
  • 1-1/2 cups of apple-cranberry juice
  • 2 cups of pomegranate juice
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 9 cinnamon sticks
  • 1-1/2 cups of chilled seltzer
  • Ice cubes

Combine ingredients (except ice and seltzer) in a large pitcher and chill for at least 4 hours. Just before serving, add ice and seltzer. Garnish with cranberries, if desired.

Version with alcohol:

Replace the pomegranate juice and seltzer with a  bottle of red wine and 1/2 cup of apple brandy. Chill the wine and brandy with the fruit, sugar and cinnamon and add the cranberry-apple juice to the pitcher just before serving. (253 calories per serving)
